The Big Golf Race Save lives with every swingThe Big Golf Race Save lives with every swing

What is the Big Golf Race?

The Big Golf Race isn’t your typical round on the course - it’s a big day out where every swing saves lives.

Organise your own Big Golf Race and take on 36, 72 or 100 holes in one day. By going the distance on the course, you’ll be helping fund vital research, raising awareness, and moving us closer to a future where men can find prostate cancer early enough to be cured.

Prostate cancer exists in every golf club. It’s the most common in men, and yet it’s still the only major cancer without a national screening programme. That means too many men are diagnosed too late. It shouldn’t be this way.

By joining The Big Golf Race, you’ll be helping us change that. Each pound you raise goes towards the research and evidence needed to make screening a reality for all men.

We cannot do it without you. Sign up today, let’s save men’s lives.

Emily's Story

Emily grew up on the golf course with her dad, John - the person who first put a club in her hands and inspired her love for the game. In June 2025, just hours after losing him to prostate cancer, Emily chose to honour him in an extraordinary way: by completing The Big Golf Race.

“The hardest part was that Dad passed away the evening before we played,” she says. “It was incredibly emotional.”

Surrounded by friends and family, Emily stepped onto the course and turned a day of grief into something powerful. “It became a strange kind of therapy,” she explains. “Doing something he loved, surrounded by friends and family, helped me get through those first 24 hours.”

Emily raised over £3,500 - but just as importantly, she helped start lifesaving conversations. “Golf brings people together in big numbers, making it a natural way to start conversations and spread awareness.”

Her story is a powerful reminder of what The Big Golf Race is all about: coming together, taking action, and making a difference. Emily continues to fundraise in her dad’s memory - using the game they loved to support life-changing research that will help more men get diagnosed sooner, so they can get more time doing what they love, with the people they love.
